There is a great little
interpretive/nature trail behind the Steel Visitor
Center that winds its way amongst the historic
structures and spring seeps of the Munson Valley
Headquarters area. Along this trail is the Lady of the
Woods, a rock sculpture very popular amongst visitors,
although not as well know as it probably should be. It
was while near the Lady of the Woods that you will
commonly see Mule Deer grazing in the shady under-story.
This particular young buck happened to be bathed in a
ray of light as I photographed him. -- Robert
