Federal Geologists Say Volcano Is Officially Extinct

Washington, March 12.—(AP)—The U. S. geological survey has found no evidence to support reports of renewed volcanic activity at ancient Crater Lake National Park in Oregon.

The Interior department sent experts to make studies following reports last fall that a strange cloud of smoke or gas was seen just above the lake.
