Formal ceremonies and casual nature hikes are among the
activities slated for this weekend's celebration of Crater Lake
National Park's centennial. Friday events include the following:
10 a.m. — Artists Appreciation Open House, Rim Village.
10 a.m. — Mount Scott hike.
1 p.m. — Public reception at Rim Village. Included will be a
performance of the one-man, one-act play, "Resolutions," about
William Steel, the "father of Crater Lake National Park."
2:30 p.m. — Annie Creek Canyon hike.
7 p.m. — Watchman Peak hike.
Saturday events include dedication of the Sinnott overlook
exhibit, a walking tour of Rim Village, and three more nature
hikes.
The main centennial ceremony is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday.
