The Crater Lake Lodge, at Crater Lake National Park, opens May 21st, for the season. Also open at the park, which still has significant snow, is the Rim Café and Gift Shop from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily.

Mazama Campground is scheduled to open June 1 or as weather permits.

Snow clearing efforts on Rim Drive, the 33-mile road that circles the lake, are continuing. Earlier in the week crews had moved past the parking area at The Watchman overlook. The north entrance, which simplifies north-south travel through the park, is expected to open by early June.

For updated information call the park at 594-3100.
