Fire Contained at Crater Lake

Print this story

Herald and News
Klamath Falls, Oregon

July 22, 2008

A structure fire early Tuesday morning at Crater Lake National Park’s Mazama Village closed the Mazama Village Store and shut down gas and fueling services. Details were not available, but park spokesmen said a fire in the store reported about 3 a.m. was confined to the laundry room. Mazama Village is near the park’s south entrance.

Park visitors wanting information on staying at Mazama Campground or the Mazama Motor Inn are being directed to the Crater Lake Lodge.
