Governor appoints former KF woman to state travel council

Christina Lilienthal, a former Klamath Falls resident, has been
appointed by Gov. Ted Kulongoski to the Oregon Travel
Information Council.
The Oregon Travel Information Council is an self-funded agency
administering the State Highway Logo and Tourist Attraction Sign
programs, the Historical Marker and Heritage Tree programs and
Travel Information Centers in 15 rest areas.
Lilienthal led efforts to create the 140-mile Volcanic Legacy
Scenic Byway through Klamath County, which won an All-American
Road designation. She is currently leading a campaign to extend
the volcanic legacy byway from Crater Lake National Park in
Oregon, to Lassen Volcanic National Park in northern California.
She also served on the Klamath Falls Chamber of Commerce tourism
and recreation committee.
Lilienthal worked as a landscape architect with the Winema and
Fremont national forests before taking her current position with
the Umpqua National Forest in Roseburg.
