Local Report: Rim Runs registration deadline approaching

The registration deadline is approaching for the remaining 200 openings in the 1998 Crater Lake Rim Runs and Marathon Aug. 8 in Crater Lake National Park.

The entry fee until Aug. 1 is $25 and $35 afterward. Registration closes Aug. 5. There is no registration at Crater Lake National Park.

The Rim Runs offer three distances: 6.7 miles, 13 miles and a marathon.

Registration brochures are available at the usual local outlets or can be obtained by sending a SASE to: Crater Lake Rim Runs, 5830 Mack Ave., Klamath Falls, Or., 97603. For additional information, call (541) 884-6939.
