Report: Crater Rim deadline is near

The 24th annual Crater Lake Rim Run will be held on Aug. 14 at
Crater Lake National Park.
Participants may choose between runs of 6.7 miles, 13.0 miles
and 26.2 miles (marathon).
Cost is $25 is for the shorter run, $30 for the medium distance
and $35 for the marathon.
The runs are held along majestic Crater Lake at altitudes
ranging from 5,980 feet to 7,850 feet, and they feature rugged
mountains and breathtaking views.
Participants must be at least 10 years old for the 6.7-mile run,
16 for the 13-mile event and 18 for the marathon. Walkers are
limited to the shorter distance.
Registration closes Saturday.
