Regional Post Goes To Former Yosemite Man

SAN FRANCISCO — Frank R. Givens, whose 28 years with the national park service include several with the ranger force at the Yosemite National Park, has been appointed chief of ranger activities in the Region 4 office here.

Another Yosemite ex-employee, Otto M. Brown, will be the new superintendent of the Crater Lake National Park in Oregon. He started as a seasonal park ranger in Yosemite more than 30 years ago and currently is the chief park ranger in Yellowstone.

Thomas J. Williams, who began his 30 year park service career in the Sequoia Park, will become the chief of ranger activities in Region 3, with headquarters in Santa Fe, NM.
