Herald and News

Klamath Falls, Oregon
November 3, 2008

The North Entrance Road and Rim Drive at Crater Lake National Park are now closed for the season. However, Highway 62 through the park and the road to park headquarters and Rim Village remain open.  Snowy and icy road conditions at this time of year may result in temporary road closures. Park visitors are advised to call ahead for the most current weather and road information. Park trails are now covered in snow and some trails have downed trees due to strong winds.

Current Southern Oregon road conditions in and around the park can be found at www.tripcheck.com. For the most current weather and road information, call (541)594-3000, or visit the National Weather Service Web page.
