Crater Lake Rim Run spots going

Less than a third of the available 500 spots for the 33rd annual Crater Lake Rim Runs and Marathon remain with about six weeks left before the competition at Crater Lake National Park.


Entries have arrived from 25 states and Washington, D.C., for the race which will be contested Saturday, Aug. 9. A maximum of 500 runners is allowed for the 6.7-mile walk, 6.7-mile run, 13-mile run and marathon.


All registrations will close Aug. 6. In addition to brochures that are available at business locations in the Klamath Basin, registration information is available at www.craterlakerimruns. com, or by calling 884-6939 after 6 p.m.
