Services East of Crater Lake National Park

Prospect and Union Creek Areas

(1) Joseph H. Stewart State Park: Located on the Lost Creek Reservoir; open March 1 - October 30; electrical, water, full RV hookup; 151 electrical sites, 50 tent camp sites

(2) Prospect State Park: no fees, picnic tables 

(3) Prospect Historic Hotel: Built in the 1800's, less than 45 minutes from Crater Lake National Park Rim Village; restaurant, rooms.

(5) Prospect Ranger Station

(6) Mill Creek Campground: Located: on Mill Creek in the High Cascades Ranger District, Rogue River National Forest; Directions: To reach, travel north from Prospect about two miles on Highway 62. Turn right onto Forest Service road 030 and continue about one miles to the campground; Amenities: 10 campsites, vault toilets, picnic tables, fire rings, fee use, Season: May 15 through October 30; seasonal opening and closing dates vary according to weather, Elevation: 2,800 feet; Distance from Crater Lake National Park Annie Spring (south) entrance station: 27 miles

(8) Abbott Creek Campground: Located: High Cascades Ranger District, Rogue River National Forest; Directions: To reach, travel about 6.5 miles north from Prospect on Highway 62. Turn left on Forest Road 68 and continue about 4 miles to Abbott Creek Campground; Amenities: well water, 25 campsites, well water, vault toilets, picnic tables, fire rings, fee use, Season of use: May 15 to October 30; Elevation: 3,100 feet

(9) Natural Bridge Campground: Located: High Cascades Ranger District, Rogue River National Forest; Directions: To reach, travel about 11 miles north of Prospect on Highway 62 to the campground; Amenities: vault toilets, picnic tables, fire rings, fee use, 17 campsites, Season: May 15 - October 30; Elevation: 2,900 feet

(10) Huckleberry Mtn. Campground: Located: High Cascades Ranger District, Rogue River National Forest; Directions: To reach, travel north from Prospect along Highway 62 about 6 miles and turn right onto Forest Road 60. Continue about 12 miles to Huckleberry Campground; Amenities: 27 primitive campsites for tents, trailers, or RV's up to 21 feet, vault toilets, picnic tables, fire rings, Season of use: May 15 to October 30; Elevation: 5,400 feet; Distance from Crater Lake National Park Annie Spring (south) entrance station: 14 miles

(11) Union Creek Campground: Located: High Cascades Ranger District, Rogue River National Forest; Directions: To reach, travel north on Highway 62, from Prospect, for 11 miles to the campground; Amenities: Seasonal use: May - October

(12) Becky's Restaurant: Located in Union Creek and as part of the Union Creek Resort, Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner are served throughout the summer; Summer Hours: 8:00 am to 9:00 pm. Winter Hours: Sunday through Thursday 8:00 am till 7:00 pm; Friday and Saturdays 8:00 am till 8:00 pm; about 16.5 miles from Crater Lake National Park Annie Spring (south) entrance and 23 miles from the rim village

(13) Union Creek Resort: Country Store and Gift Shop, Becky's restaurant, ice cream shop, 23 rustic cabins and a lodge; about 16.5 miles from Crater Lake National Park Annie Spring (south) entrance and 23 miles from the Rim Village

(14) Farewell Bend Campground: Located: High Cascades Ranger District, Rogue River National Forest; Amenities: 61 camp spaces, flush toilets, Maximum RV size: 40 feet; day use fee, 3,100 feet elevation, Season of use: May - Mid-October; Distance from Crater Lake National Park Annie Spring (south) entrance station: 17 miles 

(15) Hamaker Campground: Located: High Cascades District, Rogue River National Forest; Amenities: users fees, trailer sites, 10 camp units, drinking water, 4,000 feet elevation, Seasons: May - October, Maximum RV size: 22 feet, vault toilets, well water; Distance from Crater Lake National Park North entrance station: 16 miles
