(1 – see map below) Mazama Village Campground: Located seven miles from the rim of Crater Lake just inside the south entrance gate of Crater Lake National Park, the Mazama Village Campground has 212 tent and RV sites, accommodating tents up to 12’ x 12’ and RVs up to 50 feet in length. Typically, it is open from mid-June until the end of September/early October, weather permitting. Generally there are plenty of sites available, but the campground sometimes fills on weekends, rarely before 5:00 pm. There are tent sites ($21 per night) as well as RV sites ($25). Some of the RV sites have electrical hookups ($35). There are many pull-through sites; some can accommodate RVs as long as 50 feet (15 meters).

Each site has a picnic table, fire ring, and food locker. Black bears are rarely seen, but campers are advised to store all food in their locker or in their vehicle – windows rolled tight. The campground has running water, sinks, and flush toilets. There are coin-operated showers and laundry facilities. The nearby general store sells groceries, firewood, and gasoline. You can contact the campground directly during the summer at 541-594-2255 ext. 3705.

Half the campsites are reservable in advance and the rest are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. You can call the concessionaire, Aramark—1 866-292-6720.

Electrical hookups are available at a few sites. Amenities include water hydrants throughout the campground, fire rings, picnic tables, public restrooms, public showers, laundry facilities, a camper store, a gas station (including propane), and a dump station.

(2) Lost Creek Campground: Operated by the National Park Service, Lost Creek Campground contains 16 sites for tent camping only. It is located in the southeast corner of the park, three miles south of east rim drive on Pinnacles Road. It is, generally, open from late May through early-October, weather permitting.

The campground tends to fill on weekends, but usually not before mid-afternoon. It offers running water, sinks, and flush toilets. Each site has a picnic table, fire ring, and a food locker. Payment can be made by cash or check. Holders of a Senior Pass or Access Pass receive a 50% discount. For further information, contact the National Park Service at 541-594-3100.
