0.0       Leaving Medford Commercial club, go east on Main Street, follow main traveled road.

13.0     Eagle Point. After crossing Little Butte Creek Pass through Main Street.

17.8     Reese Creek School house, turn right

24.2     Take left fork and cross bridge

31.0     Bridge over Big Butte Creek

32.0     McLeod. After crossing Rogue River. Good accommodations, gasoline, general store.      Road now follows the river.

39.0     Road swings to the left on new six percent grade, eliminating the old Pumice Hill road      of 24 percent grade.

45.0     California-Oregon Power Station

47.4     Prospect. See sign on right reading Mill Creek Falls. Leave car and walk down the trail     one-quarter mile and see one of Oregon’s scenic falls. Excellent meals and       accommodations at Prospect.

65.9     At this point see sign on left marking road to Natural Bridge. It is but a short run to the      bridge, and well worth seeing.

58.9     Union Creek

50.4     Union Gorge. A picturesque chasm, carved through the rocks by the Rogue River about 100 yards down the river from the road.

62.4     Siler Camp. Good water and camp.

65.6     Take left fork. Right is not so good.

66.2     Bridge over Whiskey Creek.

67.6     Old ford across Whiskey Creek, turn left.

69.4     Crater Lake National Park boundary line, monument on right.

75.7     Park Headquarters. Left to Lake, right leads to Fort Klamath. Here is a spring, from  which on the hottest day, the water will register 35 degrees F.

80.6     Rim of Crater Lake, and hotel with every accommodation, you are over 7000 feet above sea level. To see the lake at its best, it should be a sunny, calm day. Take the footpath to the right, don’t hurry, you will be repaid with magnificent views at every turn, never to be forgotten. Climb down the winding trail to the lake, take a boat, and visit Wizard Island, and the Phantom Ship, let out your trolling lines and catch the limit – 5 – rainbow trout.
