Study Status: Completed

Activity Type: Other

Subject/Discipline: Restoration – Natural

Objectives: To collect, evaluate, and increase new plant materials for the Rim Village revegetation project.

Findings and Status: Plants were successfully established from seed for all species studied except manzanita: seed remained viable but dormant after acid scarification and 4 months cold strat. For test plots some grass species established and grew better with incorporation of organic matter and slow-release fertilizer. The effect of straw netting was mixed. Treated plots produced acceptable stand cover for revegetation/soil stabilization purposes.

For this study, were one or more specimens collected and removed from the park but not destroyed during analyses? No
